The garden project has three distinct phases: the inspection and the meeting with the client, the actual design phase, and finally the technical and construction phase.

The first visit to the garden is of great importance.

The designer must understand the peculiarities and perceive the character of the place where the garden will be inserted.

We still do not talk about objective data, which will be recorded during the survey of the property in the planning phase, but to record impressions that will be the reasons for the inspiration of the project.

Then there is the meeting and exchange of ideas with the client: if there is no empathy and collaboration between the designer and the client, a successful work will certainly not be created.

The design phase begins with the relief of the property and consists of conceiving the structure of the garden first in two dimensions, going to define the design of the areas, and then in the space-defining masses and volumes.

Only at this point are plants introduced as elements which, placed in space, are functional in translating the design conceived into reality.

We will then choose a particular plant species among those that have the characteristics that allow us to realize our design in shape, size, and texture.

After submitting the project and obtaining the approval of the client, we move on to the technical and executive phases.

In this phase, the workers involved in the work are provided with the information necessary to carry out the work.

However, the regular presence of the designer on site is always necessary: in fact, there will be unforeseen events that may require changes in the course of work on which the final decision is always the responsibility of the designer.

The design of a garden is therefore an organic and structured process that does not end simply with the choice of plants to use.
